Salem Witch Museum
She afflicts me! She comes to me at night and torments me! Shes a witch!
Words such as these struck terror into the hearts of Salem townspeople in the early spring of 1692 as hysterical young girls called out names. The Salem Witch Museum brings you back to those fearful days. Visitors are given a dramatic history lesson using stage sets with life-size figures, lighting, and narration. Learn about the word witch in WitchesEvolving Perceptions, a provocative, self-guided tour which examines the pagan midwife, stereotypical witch, modern witchcraft, and the phenomenon of witch hunts.
Do you believe in witches? Dont answer until you visit. The presentation is also available in Japanese, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Spanish.
